There's a friend I've been meaning to call.

Not text — call. Because what I want to say doesn’t fit in a message and I keep finding reasons to wait for a better moment. The better moment hasn't come. It won't, probably, unless I make it.

I've been thinking about why we do this — why the people we love most are sometimes the hardest to be honest with. I don't think it's because we don't care. I think it's because we care too much and we're a little afraid of what honesty costs.

This feels too good to keep to yourself.
