Spent the weekend with two of my closest friends.
We hadn't seen each other in a while and all had so much to share. By the time I'd made the first round of cocktails, we were already deep in it: catching each other up on the good, the hard, the stuff none of us had figured out how to handle alone yet.
Friday night set the stage. The support was there for everything, whether we were deciding what beach coverup to wear or which club to hit to get the ball on the green on the ninth hole. We had each other's backs.
The Sunday scaries hit right on schedule. We gave it space instead of trying to fix it. We knew exactly what each other needed.
The ride home hit the usual I-95 traffic. I didn't mind. It gave me a few extra minutes to smile and feel grateful for our friendship, and how much it’s still growing.

THE FEATURE
The Mums.
Not her mother. Not required to love her at all. And yet some of the most important raising of her life came from women who owed her nothing.
“Friend-ly” Advice.
I aspire to be a really good wingwoman when my friends are shopping for clothes. This post just gave me a few new tricks.
THE REFLECTION
Don't Be Surprised When You're Surprised.
Her mother's marriage advice was four words long, delivered at the wedding, and made no sense for years. Then one day, it did.
THE WILDCARD
He Almost Skipped His Own Invention's Debut.
He'd rushed down from Boston for one shot at proving his invention worked. The judges almost didn't let him take it.
If you know someone who'd love this, send it to them.
That's the whole ask.
There's something in it for you too.
Details below.
My answer:
It started as an easy no-bake birthday cake. Now it's the go-to dessert, whenever one's needed. They even asked for it again at Christmas.
