Life has been coming at me from all angles lately.

Good stuff, all of it, but a lot to hold. Saturday I was definitely the person shouting orders trying to get seven people organized for a boat tour that was leaving with or without us. I very much wanted to be on that boat.

We made it.

But the thing I keep coming back to is the coffee. Two cups and NYT Crossplay. No other apps, no notifications, no agenda. I've played my mom about 25 times and won exactly twice. I am unreasonably proud of those two wins. In the middle of everything, that's the thing that grounds me. I protect that time now like it actually matters. Because it does. It balances the scales.
