Some weekends happen to you. This one, I planned.
Slow mornings, no rush, nowhere to be. The kind of unhurried that takes actual effort to protect. Even the fireworks felt like a beautiful art installation this year. Two hundred fifty years of this country, lit up over my neighborhood. It gave me space to think in a way I haven't in weeks.
And I've been thinking about Bloom. There's more coming than I've let on. Here's one piece of it: I'm finally showing up on Instagram. If you want to find me there, I'm at @bloom.bytrish.

TODAY’S PICKS
THE FEATURE
One Splash of Color Is All You Need.
Turns out the whole living room doesn't need repainting. One deliberate pop is enough and science backs it up.
THE REFLECTION
We Stopped Talking. Then Life Happened.
A death, a divorce, a decade — and somehow the door opened again. Turns out the friendships worth having survive almost anything.
I Have A Very Reasonable Explanation.
I did my laundry this weekend. Washed it, folded it, put it away. Then organized my closet by color, which is how I discovered I own eleven white shirts. Eleven. But here's the thing — they're all different. So maybe I do need them?
THE WILDCARD
The Bathing Suit Was Never Just a Bathing Suit.
Women once had to fight for the right to swim without drowning in fabric. Same fight as the vote, it turns out.
If you know someone who'd love this, send it to them.
That's the whole ask.
There's something in it for you too.
Details below.
My answer:
Music. Lately I've had The Sways and Olivia Dean on repeat. There are songs I catch myself humming without even realizing it.
